König & Meyer is one of Germany´s largest manufacturers for music supplies and accessories and has supplied famous bands and artists such as “Die Happy”, “Kettcar” and “Xavier Naidoo” with products from the music sector. K&M places high value on long-term customer relations. Accordingly, customer service is also very important – K&M is constantly looking for means of communication.
Assignment
In addition to transferring all product data, the challenge was to create a flexible and upgradeable design for the product portfolios. The complete product information needed to be accessible right away, as well as stored and administered in a central system. To K&M, using a Product Information Management System means upgrading their customer service; a time and cost saving solution of great importance.
Solution
All product information can be administered and published with the Product Information Management System infuniq®. In addition to product description texts and item numbers, any kind of media can be attached to the products. With the specially designed infuniq®-PlugIn, all product data can be transferred from DTP-Tools Adobe InDesign and then, in a next step, the data can be customized to suit the catalogue design. The semi-automatic catalogue creation helped König & Meyer to optimize all marketing processes sustainably. The time-consuming search for product information in different data bases and repositories is no longer necessary.
