infuniq^®edit

The editorial system 

infuniq^®edit is the editorial component of the infuniq^® product family. This module enables a user-friendly creation of unstructured documents. It is the link between the PIM-System and the publishing process and supports the editorial processes of creating promotional publications.

infuniq^®edit provides a detailed page management tool for planning and editing. The publication consists of page definitions (single or double page spreads). Each page contains a variable number of page items, which group together a further number of elements. The format of the page items and the whole page itself is defined by templates.

The access to elements of a publication is definable by roles. Pages can either be serviced based on the web or by the native client directly in infuniq^®. If a user is working on a page, it will be blocked for any other user to access it until the first user releases it for the publication process.

Within a template, there are different element types that can be defined (images, texts, etc.). These elements are connected to content elements (attributes resp. placeholders) from the acquisition structure in infuniq^®pure. Therefore the processing of the single elements depends on the specifications that have been set by the attribute definitions (value lists, standard values, validation, plausibility, heredity, etc.). All changes made to the elements will be transferred to infuniq^®pure and accessible to all following processes (Translation Management, content releases, etc.) While working on picture elements, the user will be provided with a selection of images that are valid for this element from infuniq^®pure (combined with a MAM system). A preview of the page is available at all times.

As the user is processing the page, he can add comments for other users to see.  These comments are available on the page or element level at any point of the working process.

Defining working processes allows for a role-comprehensive coordination of the editing processes of a publication. The working progress of single pages, page elements or the entire publication can be controlled at any time with the assistance of the cockpit function.

• Position images freely by Drag&Drop through direct access to MAM-system (PIM)
• Edit pages according to roles and rights (integrated in infuniq^®flow)

• Define workflows and working processes for the editorial process
