The South Tyrolean business duka produces innovative and custom-made shower cubicles. Its products distinguish themselves through the combination of quality, usability and an elegant design. Founded in 1979, duka is counted among the leading shower cubicles manufacturers in Austria and Germany and sells its products worldwide with the assistance of renowned sales partners.
Assignment
Customer concerns are the number one priority for duka. Therefore, duka has decided to optimize internal as well as external working processes and catalogue production through implementing a Product Information Management System. The constant increase of product information requires a consistent and central data management. This way, an automated catalogue creation can be guaranteed. Apart from servicing all data in a coherent manner, marketing contents and price tables were to be supplied for the graphic program Adobe InDesign.
Implementation
The Product Information System infuniq® was installed and matched to the system environment of the manufacturer, in order to provide the customers with the current information as quickly as possible. The system infuniq® enables duka to create, publish and update any media fast and flexibly. The process-oriented and user-friendly interface of infuniq® is adaptable to the individual requirements of the customer.
Details
The PIM-System enables duka to create multidimensional price tables that indicate the delivery status through specific color-codes. All price information and the availability are provided by the internal ERP-System. Based on the module infuniq®print, all data can then be passed on to the layout program Adobe InDesign. If any product information is changed, thanks to the bidirectional interface, the changes will be visible in both systems – redundant service processes are no longer necessary. An extensive feasibility study led duka to decide in favor of infuniq® – the substantial technology completely convinced the manufacturer.
